How many seats are available?
There are 6 seats available for each class. I’m offering two classes on January 23, 2016. The first will be at 10am, and another at 2pm. You should be able to view how many seats remain after choosing a time from the dropdown above. If you are interested in a class for a group of more than 6, please contact me and we’ll get one scheduled for you.
What will we do during the class?
This class is made for beginners, so we start off with the very basics. You’ll learn about the tools you’ll use, how to dip your pen into ink, and proper use of the pen to create letterforms. After a brief overview of those items, we’ll dive right in to writing! As you put pen to paper for the first time, you’ll be guided through any question or concerns you might have. Once you start to get a hang of how the pen works, we’ll explore different letters and styles of calligraphy to really let your creativity flow.
Where is the class held?
I hold these classes in my home sitting around my dining room table. I prefer to keep the group small so everyone feels like they have access to have their questions answered or receive one-on-one help. I should note that I do have a dog in the home, who will be held in a different room, but may still affect any who may be allergic.
How long is the class?
While I would love to be able to continue writing with you all day, I try to end each class after 3 hours.
What supplies are included with the class?
